The flavor profile of this copycat Italian dressing mix recipe is very similar to Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix.  Use extra-virgin olive oil for the strongest flavor; for milder flavor, use light olive oil, canola or vegetable oil.

Makes enough dry mix for about four batches of dressing.
  • 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 Tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons oregano
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • ⅛ teaspoon celery seed
  • 2 Tablespoons sea salt or Kosher salt
  1. Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container.
To make a batch of salad dressing:
¼ cup cider vinegar
⅔ cup olive oil
2 Tablespoons water
2 Tablespoons dry mix

Mix all wet ingredients with 2 tablespoons of dry mix in a lidded jar. Shake well. Let sit for at least 30 minutes for dry ingredients to rehydrate. Shake before serving.
